My Top 5 CLEAN Beauty Products



I have always suffered from allergies and sensitive skin, however, since our move to good ol' Georgia, my allergies have been worse than ever and it is now reflecting on my skin. Itchy bumps on my face, chest, neck, back and arms. So very irritating! Several months back I had an allergy exam done (environmental) and I'm pretty much allergic to Georgia. Kid you not, I'm allergic to every surrounding tree, grass and pollen; so now I take allergy shots twice a week, which also triggers my asthma. I am not kidding you when I say, that at times I am literally a mess!!


I started weeding things out in both the things that I consume and also products that I use. I've used dye and scent free laundry detergent for some time now, but as far as beauty products, not so much. I have always loved great quality make up and skin care, but they have not been loving me in return. Certain make ups, moisturizers and shampoos have been agitating my skin even more. For the past several months, I've been researching, reading and purchasing (lots of wasted money) beauty products, trying to find the right fit for my skin. Now please note, I am not an Aesthetician or dermatologist, just a Momma with sensitive skin who was desperate to find some great products that would help relieve my itchy skin. Now this magic in a bottle contains aloe and vitamin C. You can use it under your moisturizer up to 2x's a day. Now, I have oily skin. What I do, is replace my moisturizer with this during the day. At night time, after cleansing my face, I use both the C you glow serum and the Vitamin C Moisturizer. I seriously wake up and my face is super soft and with a nice glow. I am not kidding when I say, that these two items combined have helped immensely with restoring my skin.



As previously mentioned, I have oily skin, therefore, I try to avoid this cream during the day because it is super moisturizing and I look like an oily mess. I do however, wear it every night after cleansing my face and applying my serum. I also apply it on my neck, chest area and shoulders because those areas usually a little dryer. This little jar is like my fairy dust in a cream format. It is infused with vitamin C, Aloe Juice, Rosehip Oil, blueberry and raspberry extracts.





I've always used good salon quality shampoo and when I began to get an allergic reaction from my favorite shampoo I was at a loss. I was literally beginning to get scabs on my scalp! I had itchy bumps around my hair line, down my neck and upper back. This company was founded in Canada by a brother and sister in 2011. I am so very grateful that I ran into it. I was a little skeptical as far as wearing clean makeup, since in the past it did not seem to hold its color all day and as far as mascara went, it would flake big time. I've tried several of their beautiful makeup and totally fell in love with not only the bronzer, but also their mascara. I was especially taken back by their mascara. All of the their items specifically break down the ingredients, which was helpful for me because it allowed me to really look further into certain items.

The brush is AMAZING, it gives you the perfect length and no clumps! The more you layer, the fuller your lashes look. Here is another kicker, it also contains Keratin which strengthens and assist in lash growth. ILIA also carry highlighters; I however do not care very much for shimmer on my face unless I am on vacation and glowing. I do love this matte and buttery soft bronzer which comes in two shades. I chose the darker one for my skin tone and trust me when I say, a little goes a long way. It's highly pigmented, build-able and stays on all day long. I have oily skin, so for a product to stay on my face for an entire day, speaks volume. I've actually discontinued using blushes. This bronzer leaves such a beautiful natural glow on my face, that I wouldn't dare add a thing more.
